Travelling Exhibition: YouNeedToKnow - Global Goals - 4.9.2020

The Foundation for Geneva and the United Nations Office at Geneva, with the support of the City of Geneva, invite the people of Geneva to discover the travelling exhibition, #YouNeedToKnow on the 17 Global Goals. The exhibition will be displayed at the Place des Nations from 4 to 11 September 2020.

Through the travelling exhibition #YouNeedToKnow, the Foundation for Geneva and the Perception Change Project of the United Nations Office at Geneva, wish to mobilize the Swiss population for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by the 193 member States of the UN in 2015.

Through the use of 10 totems, the exhibition presents the 17 SDGs of the UN’s 2030 Agenda with examples of concrete actions carried out by the UN and its partners. Each goal is illustrated with recommendations and actions that everyone can undertake in their daily lives to help achieve the 17 Global Goals. One of the panels also explains the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since 2018, the totems have been displayed across several of the French-speaking cities in Switzerland and neighboring France cities. This will be the first time that the totems are exhibited in Geneva at the Place des Nations, from September 4 to 11. The exhibition will also highlight the many actions and initiatives that the City of Geneva is carrying out in favor of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.
