Anna Gredinger, born 1982 in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, graduated from Saint-Petersburg State University with a degree in Linguistics. The wonders of photography were first introduced to her during her school years by her father, an amateur photographer. The genes of both her great-grandfathers, one of whom was a professional photographer and had his first photo studio in Saint-Petersburg before the Revolution, and the other, who was a renowed icon painter, have influenced her long-lasting passion for photography. Starting out largely self-taught, she later joined the Saint-Petersburg school of photography, gaining a degree in studio photography. During this time, her multi-facetted knowledge was systemized according to the teachings of the classical method and style of Saint-Petersburg photography. She is currently studying towards a degree in Professional Photography through the New York Institute of Photography.
